Since the spread of the coronavirus in 2020, many countries in the world have been stepping up the development of vaccines. Several leading vaccines have been approved in some countries and regions or approved for use in emergency situations up to now.

At present, the Pfizer-BioNTech jointly developed by the United States and Germany has been approved and put into use most. The effective rate of this vaccine reaches 91.3%. According to the report from The New York Times, the work on the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine started in January 2020 and the researchers fashioned a genetic molecule called messenger RNA (mRNA). Now there are several countries such as Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland which have already approved the use of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.

It is easy to find that Brazil has approved the coronavirus vaccines from different countries in the world. The current situation of the coronavirus in Brazil is still very serious. It has the third largest number of deaths in the world, second only to the United States and India. The number of deaths in March exceeded 66,000, and in April it set a record of more than 4,000 deaths in a single day. Now both Pfizer-BioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca have been approved for use in Brazil.

In addition to the widely approved vaccines, there are some vaccines that have not been approved in other countries and can only be used in emergency situations. Take the Bharat Biotech vaccine from India as an example, it is an inactivated vaccine that can only be used in some countries and regions such as Guatemala, Iran, Mexico and Nepal in emergency situations.
